What to expect

Meet & greet in Tangier Ville Port with your professional tour guide who will be holding a signboard with your name on it so that he can be noticeable to you. Otherwise, pick up from your accommodation at 09:30 am.

You’ll embark on your day tour to Tetouan with a nice drive through the speedy road. The drive takes around an hour and once you arrive in Tetouan, you’ll have a guided walking tour through the Medina. The Medina of Tetouan was listed by the UNESCO as World Heritage Site thanks to the authenticity, charm and diversity with which it has been endowed. Appreciate the unique lifestyle with the bustling cafes and vibrant Souks that are divided into sections. Visit the Archaelogical Museum and have a chat with local women, and why not take pictures with their local dress.

After that, you’ll drive back to Tangier for lunch in the Kasbah District. The Kasbah overlooks the Iberian Peninsula, the Medina and the port of Tangier offering stunning views. Visit the Kasbah Museum (A former Sultan’s Palace in the 17th century) that exhibits a wide collection of Roman remains brought from the nearby Lixus, Volubilis or even Berber antiques, crafts, chandeliers and much more. The building itself is a perfect representation of the Moroccan & Andalusian Architectures with spacious rooms, courtyard centered with a foutain, Zellij tiles, stucco-work…

It’s time to explore the vibrant Medina with its Souks, then visit the American Legation that has been turned into a museum. The building witnesses the long diplomatic relations between Morocco and the United States of America. You can see the letters of correspondence between the late Sultan Moulay Suleiman and the ex-president George Washington.
